You are signing up for a required swim test that must be passed before you may enroll in the Lifeguard Class.

To pass this Swim Test:
1. You must Swim 150 yards without stopping using the front crawl and breaststroke (face in the water, with good breathing).
2. You must Tread water for 2 minutes using only your legs (no arms).
3. Swim another 50 yards without stopping using the front crawl and breaststroke.
4. Brick test: Swim 20 yards, dive to the bottom to grab a 10-pound brick, swim back 20 yards holding it, and get out of the pool (without using the ladder) — all in under 1 minute and 40 seconds. Goggles are not allowed for this part of the test.
About the Lifeguard Class:
After passing the Swim Test, you'll be able to enroll in the Lifeguarding Course.
This course includes CPR, AED, and First Aid training.
All class materials are included in the registration fee.
After passing the course, you’ll earn your American Red Cross Shallow Water Lifeguarding certification, including First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and AED.
These certifications are valid for 2 years.
